YMOB 2025 Spring Season Auditions

Auditions for the highly anticipated Young Musicians of Baltimore Youth Orchestra 2025 Spring Season will be held live and via video submission. Violinists, violists, and cellists ages 12-18 are invited to audition. Live auditions will be held Saturday, January 4th, 2025 at Grace United Methodist Church, or online by video submission (submission deadline January 1, 2025 at 11:59pm). To audition, please fill out the audition registration form below.

Audition Requirements:

Violin: A two or three octave scale of your choice, and a prepared piece (minimum repertoire level ASTA Grade 5 or Suzuki Book 5). Students should be prepared to sight read.

Viola: A two or three octave scale of your choice, and a prepared piece (minimum repertoire level ASTA Grade 4 or Suzuki Book 4). Students should be prepared to sight read.

Cello and Bass: A two octave scale of your choice, and a prepared piece (minimum repertoire level of ASTA Grade 4 or Suzuki Book 4). Students should be prepared to sight read.
