EXPECTATIONS OF MUSICIANS

  • YMOB musicians are selected and placed through an annual audition.

  • YMOB musicians are expected to attend rehearsals, extended rehearsals and concerts throughout the season.

  • YMOB musicians are expected to be in their seats, warmed up and ready to play 10 minutes before the beginning of each rehearsal.

  • YMOB musicians are expected to prepare YMOB music through home practice.

  • YMOB musicians are expected to leave their phones in instrument cases until the end of rehearsals and performances.

  • YMOB musicians are expected to abide by all YMOB policies and procedures, including attendance, call time, dress code/appearance, safety/supervision, behavior, concert etiquette, etc.

  • YMOB musicians are expected to demonstrate respect for the other musicians, concert patrons, conductors, music coaches, and YMOB volunteers.
